Currently there are three Pilot Trustees, one Flight Engineer Trustee, one Trustee representing a contributing company and two Independent Trustees of the fund. The Trustees review and assess membership and claims and oversee the investment of the assets of the Fund. The Pilot Trustees are elected by the Fund's members. The current Trustees are as follows
Chairman: Steve Howard (Pilot Trustee) - Contact Steve Steve has been involved in New Zealand aviation since joining Safe Air in 1977 and is currently a Captain with Air Nelson based in Auckland. Steve has been a Trustee of the Fund since 2006.
Independent Trustee and Secretary: Jeremy Kippenberger (Chartered Accountant) Jeremy has been Secretary of the Fund since 1986. He is an accountant in private practice in Wellington with his firm Urlich & Kippenberger. Independent Trustee: Philip Bartlett Philip is a Wellington based lawyer with his firm Bartlett Partners. He specialises in Employment Law. He has been an independent Trustee of the Fund since 2003. Company Trustee: Paul Kelway Paul is appointed to the board by Air New Zealand as a contributing company. He is Treasurer of the Air New Zealand Group. Flight Engineer Trustee: Phil Hickman - Contact Phil After a career as an Aircraft Ground Engineer and Flight Engineer with Air New Zealand, Phil is Manager, Fleet Support Technical for Airline Operations and Safety for Air New Zealand.
Pilot Trustee: Pete Rogerson (Pilot Trustee) (not pictured above) - Contact Pete Pete has been with Air New Zealand since 1988 and is currently an Airbus A320 Captain. Prior to Air New Zealand he worked for Eagle Air in Hamilton and for several operators overseas. He was elected as a Trustee in 2009.
Pilot Trustee: James Chamley - Contact James James is a First Officer with Air New Zealand and has been a Trustee since 2007. James has a background outside aviation that includes finance and management.
